The Arc of New London County supports individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities. The organization was formerly known as the New London County Association for Retarded Citizens. It provides opportunities for a range of vocational, recreational, sports and leisure activities to people with mental retardation in southeastern Connecticut. The organization has been in operation for more than 55 years. The Arc of New London County accepts donations from individuals and institutions. It also offers support services for individuals and families. In addition, the organization operates through human resources and operations departments. The Arc of New London County offers advocacy and consulting services.
