She should not be practicing medicine. If you want someone that doesn't listen, is condescending and bases her diagnosis on little knowledge and biased, opinionated info rather than what's actually wrong with you and test results, she's perfect :-/

She's not my PCP but she is my grandmother's. I think she has a great bedside manner and I have no complaints about the way she has managed my grandmother's care. She knows what she is talking about.

I have been going to Dr. Mallick for almost two years. She has a horrible attitude first of all. Second of all, as a doctor, she will not listen to her patients. From the very first visit, I recognized that she thought she was a doctor and she disregarded the fact that I had been treated for many years prior for an autoimmune disorder that had been well under control by the prior doctor that was at the practice prior to her arrival. The prior doctor I had was one of the BEST doctors as she had a beautiful, caring bedside manner and she listened to me. Dr.Mallick seemed to disregard the fact that I had been treated for many years for a disorder with medication that "normalizes" my blood--coumadin. Nomally coumadin is prescribed for people who have normal blood as a blood thinner, In my case, my body produces antibodies against the clotting factors in my blood so I NEED to be on life long comadin and because my PT is not normal, I need to be at a higher level than people who have "NORMAL" blood. I was diaganosed after having a stroke, this medication by a very well respected neurologist, I had my prior doctor at this practice work directly with him on how to manage my PT'S and INR. I tried to explain this to Dr. Mallick on my first visit. She was extremely arrogant and DID NOT listen to me. She preferred to tell me that it was "protocol" to prescribe coumdin with a target range that was well below what I had been keeping it at for many many years. I decided to try to give her a chance, but first of all, when I would call and request she call me back, she never once did. My neurologist has retired and since I live out of the area of the top Boston hospitals, I did request she send me to see a specialist, rheumatologist, which she did. When I went for my visit, the rheumatologist told me he would recommend she keep me higher, however, not high enough. The rheumy told me that he would not manage my coumadin and that was the responsibility of the primary care doctor. I was not at all satisfied with the rheumy, and especially because he never ran any tests or blood work I was very frustrated As time went on, she kept my level dangerously low and I tried to contact her and again she blatently ignored my calls. I finally went to a highly recommended rheumy that I located on a lupus website and the FIRST thing he did prior to anything, was ordered all my medica records as well as run extensive blood work before making any final recommendation. When I went to see him for follow up, he explained that he had gotten all the results back and wrote a letter to my primary care physician with a recommended target INR. I tried for weeks to contact her and asked that she return my call. She DID NOT. I had to wait at least two months before I could get into see her. I went to see her today, and she was extremely obnoxious and rude. She told me essentially that she is keeping it at the Protocol level and she said she could loose her license if anything happened to me! I could not believe my ears.....especialy because it just proves to me she doesn't care about the health and welfare of her patients! I know that if I didn't address this issue I would end up with a LIFE THREATENING issue. Bottom line, when I asked her about the letter from the rheumy, she lied, told me she never got it......liar. Then I asked her again to see my records and see the letter....she told me to ask the rheumy...really"? Also, I went into see a nurse practitioner as she was not able to see me and the LETTER WAS NOT IN MY FILE. Bottom line, she lied and DISREGARDED A SPECIALIST who knows much more about my disorder. She never even cared to find out about it or talk to me or the specialist about it. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR....do yourself a big favor.

Replaced Dr. Ilyevsky

Dr. Mallick is an incompetent doctor in my eyes. I've been to many a doctor but not one who never once touched me. I had some complaints that I told her a all I got for an answer was to 'MOVE'. I asked her if I was coming down with rumatoid arthritis and she said I needed to move. When I explained that I do stuff around my apartment and I have in fact moved twice in the last 5 months, she said not that kind of movement but move my arms like lifting weights. This is kooky, I had a med issue and she cut my med's by 66%, when I said it was too much of a cut and needed more she refused to treat me and kicked me out. Don't give NMC your business.
