The company was established in 1968 to purchase aircraft parts in the United States and export them to Japan. In due time, the company started importing its carburetors and other engine related products into the United States. The company s Chicago offices are for its OEM operations that specialize in performance carburetors for motorcycles, snowmobiles and watercraft. The company also has an office in McAllen, Texas, that oversees the operations at its manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico. Mikuni American also represents American suppliers of raw materials, chemicals, casting and forgings and precision parts to aerospace and aircraft manufacturers in Japan. Mikuni American Corporation is headquartered in Northridge, Calif.
