They have the best selection of used books in the area. Around the corner from this store I inquired about a book they would have to order for $25 and wait for a week or more. Decided to give the Old Book Store a try and there was just what I was looking for, in great condition, for $4. That is only one example of the good luck I've had there. Been a customer since 1966 (8 years old) and have always loved it. They not only sell but buy used books and the present owner is a real cool dude!

The Old Bookstore is definitely my favorite used bookstore in Northampton. It's small and quiet, the kind of atmosphere I enjoy. You can get some great deals, too - I bought a signed first addition hardback from an author I love for only $9. I fully recommend this store.
