The Academy at Carrie F. Thomas serves children in prekindergarten through grade five and is located in N. Richland Hills, Texas. The academy offers regular classes in reading, music, art and physical education. It employs more than 40 staff members that include classroom teachers, specialists, therapists, custodians, administrative assistants and a nurse. The school s parent-teacher organization conducts various events, such as book fairs, family nights, field trips, summer camps and award assemblies. The Academy at Carrie F. Thomas is recognized by the Texas Education Agency. The academy is a part of the Birdville Independent School District, which operates more than 20 elementary schools and serves over 10,000 students.
