Elaine Barlett was the answer to our prayers !!! Our daughter was struggling in school since kindergarten and she even repeated a grade. The school did not acknowledge her struggles and just kept telling us that she needed to read more. My daughter got to the point that she literally stopped speaking. We found Elaine Barlett and Phonics in the Sand and we started making progress right away. Every year since completing the program our daughter has matured and built on Ms. Barlett's strategies. This year our daughter graduated the eighth grade with honors and she won the Leadership Award. She has been accepted into the magnet program of her choice and there is no doubt in everyone's minds that she is destined for great things.
