Research & Diagnostic Antibodies was founded in 1984 to provide antibodies, immunoassays and assay kits to investigators in bio-medical research. Technological improvements in the use of synthetic peptides as analogues of proteins, antigens for the production of antibodies and for the development of highly sensitive immunoassays which are specific for bio-medically important proteins and biologically active peptides, has thrust RDA to the forefront of immunoassay technology. The company offers RIA kits, IFA kits and hundreds of monoclonal antibodies and polyclonal antisera for ELISA, immunocytochemistry, western blotting, immunoprecipitation and RIA. RDA also offers services on a custom contract basis: monoclonal antibody development, production, purification and characterization; immunoassay development and refinement in a number of different formats; polyclonal antisera purification and characterization; conjugation of small molecules and haptens onto carriers proteins; western blot analysis, ELISA and RIA characterization of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies; radio-labeling of proteins and peptides with 125 Iodine; and the analysis of samples by either RIA or western blot.
