I used to drive out to the Cape and catch the ferry from Woods Hole, I had to park 8 miles away in a satellite parking lot and then lug my stuff onto a bus and get shuttled to the ferry terminal - it was a nightmare! I took the Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry out of Quonset Point, North Kingstown, Rhode Island and it was awesome. The highway went right to their dock with no traffic anywhere to be seen and I actually parked my car within 100 feet of the ferry. Checking in was a breeze since I purchased my tickets online (no other ferry to the Vineyard offers this convenient service) I then boarded a beautiful luxurious ferry that had plenty of inside seating and outside seating as well. The ferry ride was incredible; the sights were breathtaking along the way down Narragansett Bay and then through Vineyard Sound. I arrived in the heart of Oak Bluffs which is where pretty much everything is during the summer. I would recommend this ferry service to anyone traveling to Martha's Vineyard.
