Virginia Credit Union, headquartered in Richmond, Va., is a nonprofit financial cooperative owned by its members. It provides members a variety of products and services, including checking and savings accounts, IRAs, ATM access, direct deposit, online banking, loans and mortgages, credit cards, insurance and investments. Members also receive discounts on car insurance, computers, entertainment and tax services. Its members include employees and retirees of Virginia s state and local governments and public schools systems, employees and retirees of other approved groups, students at state supported colleges and universities and their families. VCU operates branch locations in Fredericksburg, Va., and Stafford, Va., and shared service centers throughout the country.
