Established in 2002, Banner Christian School is a board-run, non-denominational Christian school in Richmond, Va. Its academic program includes comprehensive phonics instruction for students of kindergarten through grade five, with an emphasis on reading, writing and mathematics. Its middle school program focuses on study skills development and transitional programming for students of grade six through grade eight. Its upper school program for students of grades nine to 12 focuses on a variety of college preparatory courses and skills to defend students faith and provide leadership training. The school has various athletic teams and is a member of the Virginia Christian Athletic Association. Banner Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.
