      General Info
      Dr. Edward Galaid is board certified in occupational medicine and internal medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). He is the Medical Director of Roper St. Francis Occupational Medicine where he oversees the occupational medicine services provided to community employers and is responsible for the occupational health needs of the 5200 teammates at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Dr. Galaid is a member of the task force developing ACOEM’s Guidance for the Medical Evaluation of Law Enforcement Officers and the NFPA 1582 task group. He is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He is formerly an Epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New York City Department of Health. Dr. Galaid received his medical degree (MD) from State University of New York/Downstate and his Master of Public Health from the Columbia University School of Public Health.
