Founded in 1946, Canton Elevator provides new installation, modernization projects, contractual service as well as maintaining more than 1000 units in four states. The company manufactures a line of hydraulic elevator equipment for use in its installation projects. It also sells the equipment to other elevator contractors throughout the United States and Canada. Operating out of a 60,000-sqaure-foot facility in Massillon, Ohio, the company supplies a line of standard and custom passenger and freight elevators that include hole less hydraulic elevator equipment using single stage, telescopic and roped hydraulic systems. Canton has worked with and supplied equipment in projects designed by firms as Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, C.F. Murphy Associates, Lerch Bates and Associates as well as many U.S. government agencies. It also furnishes elevator equipment for Otis, Westinghouse, Schindler, Montgomery and Dover. Canton Elevator is headquartered in Massillon, Ohio.
