Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County is a nonprofit voluntary organization that provides home health aide care, nursing supervision and social services. The organization s capabilities include housekeeping assistance, respite care, visually impaired service and care management. Its clients represent all age groups, diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds and economic levels. Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County is accredited under the standards of the National Home Caring Council administered by The Home Care University, a subsidiary of the National Association for Home Care in Washington, D.C. The organization is licensed as a health service firm by the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, as well as is approved as a provider for the New Jersey Medicaid Waiver Personal Care Assistance Program.
