We highly recommend these movers. They were perfect and we have zero complaints.
We moved from an upstairs apartment to a house about a mile and a half away during the first week of August (hot!). We are terrible packers and although all the regular/small stuff was in boxes, there were large randomly-shaped pieces of crap that had to be carried individually. We also weren't 100% sure how much stuff we'd get moved on our own before they were scheduled to come, but they didn't mind a little uncertainty. These guys were extremely good-natured about it and didn't complain about a single thing, not even our gross college couch. We also had ~40 boxes of heavy books and they moved them so fast, along with our ~30 boxes of non-books and a two-bedroom apartment's worth of furniture. The whole thing took under four hours.
The house we moved to is a rental with new floors (hard and carpet) and we were a little nervous about damage to the floors and the walls by movers moving everything in. We shouldn't have worried at all because the Serenity guys didn't leave a single mark or ding on any floor, wall, door frame, object, or anything at either location. Nothing was broken or damaged. They were extremely careful while being very speedy, their dollies didn't leave any marks on the floor, and they were so cautious going through doorways and around corners. All of our stuff is intact, too.
We weren't too picky about where we had them put everything at the new location, but it was obvious that if we'd had special requests about setting everything up, they would have been followed to the letter. They asked thoughtful questions throughout (like whether we wanted our boxes labeled "bookshelf" to go somewhere specific after I told them they could stack all the boxes in the spare bedroom) to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. And we did!
The Serenity guys were professional and polite the entire time, true gentlemen. They also had, by far, the *best price* of all the places we called for quotes, and we didn't incur any random charges. The bill was very clear, exactly what we expected, and we received copies of everything. Plus they gave us drink coozies!
If you are looking for movers, you're probably already stressed out and strapped for cash, so you should definitely spare yourself extra strife and just go with these guys. The experience definitely was serene and relieved a lot of our stress without breaking the bank. The next time we move (which hopefully won't be for a long while!) we will definitely be hiring these guys again. They were fabulous.
