Price Cutter Plus is a chain of supermarkets that offers canned goods, beer, wines, and natural and organic food products. In 1919, John Ramey bought a small grocery store in Springfield, Mo., with his mustering-out pay from the army. It was a small, neighborhood grocery store, which has now turned out to be a grocery retail company known as RPCS. The company operates more than 40 retail grocery stores in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma under the Ramey, Price Cutter, Price Cutter Plus, Save-A-Lot, Food Pyramid and Smitty s banners. Some of its stores feature pharmacies and full-service Starbucks coffee shops. RPCS offers online shopping options and food information and participates in various fundraising activities. Price Cutter Plus maintains a presence in Nixa, Mo.
