I decided to stop by here for lunch today and wound up having an amazing filet mignon sandwich. Service was good and the staff friendly. When I checked the reviews here, I wasn't sure, but I am glad I gave it a try.

My son & I ate at the green parrot sunday afternoon. I ordered the grouper sandwich. It was a bowl of grease on the plate. Probably the worst sandwich I ever ate. Service was Ok. But We will never go back. I work to hard for my money to leave a restaurant feeling sick.

On Monday night I watched a cook SPIT in the kitchen and then continue to prepare food. If not for the fact that I had already finished (well only ate some) my fish and chips which were sopping in grease I would have immediately left. I will be sure to tell everyone I know how disgusting this place is.

Absolutely the best place to watch a game in SE PA. The atmosphere reminds one of a fine European Pub, exceptionally clean and with just the right amount of back ground noise. People can have an actual conversation. The bartenders are courteous and attentive. It is a great place to meet people and make new friends. The food is excellent and the pricing fair. Unlike many places that appeal to only one age group, the Green Parrot appeals to all age groups. It is very civilized and brings out the best in people.

I've been to the Green Parrot quite a few times and had my socks knocked off every single time! The dining room has a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere and the bar area is the best place in Newtown to catch a game. The food is very reasonable and the menu has something for everyone.

I have heard much about the Green Parrot and disagree with the bad reviews posted. Maybe they havent been there since it first opened, but my food and service was great. I had the Shrimp in a Red Pepper Glaze offered as a special along with my filet mignon the other day. It was fabulous. Also check out the crab cakes. Got to be the best this side of the Chesapeake...

WOW, what a place. Went there for the first time to watch the Eagles with some friends from Northeast Philly. The food and atmosphere were great. Those 50" plasma TVs are really awesome. After the game, we went into the dining room and I had the Filet and my girlfriend had the salmon. Looked like it was right out of a Vegas restaurant. You gotta check this place out...

Food is fantastic with great variety! Very impressed with atmosphere. Bar has numerous beers on tap that by far exceed the usual suspects. The area has craved a great locally owned restaurant/pub like this for a long time and finally our prayers have been answered!

We recently had a lunch party at the Green Parrot in September. This place is great. From the many flat screen plasma TVs and exposed brick walls to the outdoor patio and real fireplaces, the place is a MUST SEE. Great place to watch the game.I know they had some issues in the beginnig, but the food and service is excellent. As soon as you walk in the place you smell the wood-fired ovens. We also stopped by for dinner on Friday 10/2. There were some great special additions to the menu. Make sure you hear them before ordering.

LOVE the atmosphere at the parrot (we sat on the patio and there was barely a wait!) The crab cakes are wonderful, the best I have had in a long time! We had wonderful service and will most definitely be back.

Went to Green Parrot on a Tues night. Service was excellent. (we sat on the patio).. Had lettuce wraps for appetizer-EXCELLENT. Seafood bisque-very good and mushroom swiss burger-very good with nice and crispy french fries. Would go back..

This was a horrible experience. The wait was way too long, the table was filthy, the spinach dip was totally bland, the mussels fishy, and the service was an absolute nightmare. I will never be back; don't recommend ever going there.

A much-needed addition to Newtown! The food is consistently good and well-priced, and the staff works hard to make dining there a pleasant experience. Haven't tried a drink here yet, but the list is pretty extensive. Will definitely be returning!

We usually go to isaac Newton, but was excited to try something else in the area. I must say I will stick with what I know. When first walked, there were hostess standing around the stand, when finally greeted I asked if we can have a booth, since there was some empty ones. I was told that I can not have that because it was reserved for someone, which is fine, but I was there for over an hour ( Wed) night and no one sat there. We were not give a wine list, Orderd the spinach dip, I so not recommend it, it was full of oil that sat on top of the dip. bread was stale. I ordered the black and blue pizza, there was nothing black or blue about it. it was to have black chicken and blue cheese, there was maybe about 4 chix could not taste the blue cheese and it was mostly full of bacon, no flavor. Service was very slow and not with the food with the return of our drinks and the bill, was not offered dessert I do like the decor but the food and service needs to be worked. Greatly disappointed
