- Squad personnel meet with community organizations such as schools, churches, scouts, senior citizens and civic groups to conduct first aid and CPR training and to educate our residents about emergency medical services. Residents may also see Newtown Ambulance Squad vehicles and crews providing standby coverage at special events such as football games, parades, fairs, and holiday celebrations. All paramedics and emergency medical technicians are fully licensed and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Employees and volunteers receive ongoing training to ensure that they are using the best practices and technologies for treating patients. According to Joe Swerk, President, "We conduct thorough background checks on every employee including criminal history, references, and driving records for vehicle operators. We are also a member of Drug Free PA and each employee is committed to a drug free workplace. Our policy requires crews to be dressed in full uniform. We're proud of our professionalism and the courteous, compassionate care provided by our employees."

We offer annual membership subscriptions to the residents of these areas.
