The Cyrenius H. Booth Library is the public library for the community of Newtown, CT. It was a posthumous gift of benefactress Mary Elizabeth Hawley. The architect for the library was Philip Sutherland, and it's style was designed to fit in with the private homes on Main Street. Many of the furnishings inside were formally Mrs. Hawley's possessions. The library was opened on December 17, 1932The Cyrenius H.
