Wicksburg High School is operated by the Houston County Schools and is located in Newton, Ala. It serves educational needs of students in grades nine through 12 and offers a variety of academic programs in language arts, mathematics, sciences and social science. It also provides classes in computer education and foreign languages to the students. It provides students various opportunities in the arts, athletics and extracurricular activities. Its library provides various resources, such as books, magazines, encyclopedias and newspapers. Its guidance center offers counseling and provides information about scholarships. Its parent-teacher organization is an important link between students, faculty, administration and parents. Its sport activities include football and volleyball.
