Our landscaper out of Virginia Beach sent us to visit this business in Newport News. He told us that if we were interested in Natural Stone than this was the place. BOY O BOY was he right. Simply amazing selection from boulders the size of my Jetta thru one of a kind carved granite works of art. Once every 3 years they bring in an amazing array of Japanese Maples (we left with two). We'll be back this week with our landscaper. Three Cheers for something Natural that will last generations and more. P.S. the staff is incredible as well.

I was in the middle of a stone veneer fireplace project in my home. A few pieces of stone short. Weather = miserable (snow & ice) but to our surprise not only were these chaps open, but they had just what we needed. So there are ANGELS!

Looking for a unique gift for my spouse for Christmas, and after shopping at the Patrick Henry mall I decided to slip by this business. The owner spent a considerable amount of time with me showing me exquisite & unusual Japanese Maples (dormant now but guaranteed to become beauties in the spring), and carved granite fountains and artwork from the earth. Very unique, one of a kind. I am sure my wife will love me forever. Hank Butler

The past owner of Smithfield Gardens (a neighbor) suggested I visit this business for my stone needs. Largest and nicest stone yard in the area. Custom fire pit rings, crushed glass, mulch, top soil, and they had just gotten in over 300 very unusual varieties of Japanese maples. My wife and I have found our favorite store. Highly recommend. I am the property manager for a large townhouse development in Newport News. We had been having problems with visitors parking outside of paved areas an the landscaped areas of our property. We tried wooden posts, we tried signs, all to no avail. By chance I stopped at this business as another property manager noted their creativity in dealing with both commercial and residential issues. Our homeowners board visited on several occasions and we ending up choosing seven large landscape boulders (simply beautiful). Delivered and installed beautifully, at a very reasonable price. Problem solved! Thank you Mother Nature and Stone Quarry. Amanda

We were looking for a fire pit for the Thanksgiving break, and stopped by first at Lowes and then Home Depot and took a chance to see what these folks might have to offer. WOW is all what my husband and I can say. The owner spent a considerable amount of time explaining the potential dangers of building fire pits with the concrete blocks, and steered us to something both 100% safe, visually more attractive and designed to last a lifetime not several years. Many many thanks!

These folks just completed a gravel driveway at our home in York County. Started with mud and grass and boy can I tell you that we are very pleased. In addition to a beautiful design and execution that was out of this world, our neighbors comment every day on how great it looks. They also installed all new plant material and are very knowledgeable as far as plant selection goes. They offer this at no charge (labor) and pass the plant material at cost directly from the grower. We caved over $2000 in plant material alone, had we purchased from one of the garden centers. Highly recommended!

My family drove over from Virginia Beach on Sunday as our landscaper said hat this was the place for natural stone products. Boy was he right! Tremendous selection, very knowledgeable staff and delivered prices that were out of this world. We had visited two garden centers and one stone yard (?) prior to our trip to The Stone Quarry. What we quickly learned was that these "other guys" know little if nothing about real stone and were there to take our money only. After spending over an hor at their business, the folks at The Stone Quarry suggested that we make a return trip with our landscape plans and they would sit down with us (at no charge) to give us ideas and show us the best bang for our buck. A true breath of fresh air. Two Thumbs Up for this place.

I am a local real estate broker and had heard that these folks were a solid bunch to deal with. My wife and I visited on several occassions and spent a considerable time with the owner. He visited our home on two occassions and we finally decided on having some stone walls and a drilled boulder fountain placed on our property. One day into the install and all is going just beautiful. These folks know their trade!

We are new residents to Carollton, and the past owner of Smithfiled Gardens recommended that we visit this business, as our interests are in real stone and unusual designs. Boy was Bill right. This place was everything and more. Basalt crystals from Korea, carvings from Japan and Thailadnd and a huge inventory of building stone - whether it be for a patio, path or pond. Highly recommend!!!

Called this morning to make an inquiry before I drove out.... the phone was answered by a guy who said ' what do you need - I'm in the middle of something.'..... I did NOT drive out - too many stores places around to be treated like that over the phone.

Visited this past weekend in the rain. One of the staff met me outside with an umbrella and did a wonderful job showing me around. This place is stuffed full of ideas (all in stone). New this spring is premium mulches, composts and top soils (delivered or installed). When I got home I checked their prices with PHM and found SQ to be alot less harsh on my wallet. Initially, I was looking for a concrete paver (Belgard), but after spending time with the staff and learning more about the weaknesses of concrete pavers I have decided to bring my husband back, when the temperature finally reaches above 35 degrees. Where is SPRING??? Highly recommend this establishment. The Kelleys

Took a chance to see if they were open Friday morning and were pleasantly surprised. The store is loaded with the largest selection of stone that we have ever seen in this area. The owner was on site at the time of our visit and noted that natural stone does not have to be expensive, however the retailers (Garden Centers and so called "Stone MARTS") do their best to squeeze and confuse the customer. The owner recounted several story's passed on to him by customers who had been fleeced by other establishments. This yard is refreshingly simple and the staff there is more than willing to go out of their way to help with any project. 2 thumbs up from our family! P.S. we ended up purchasing several pallets of PA field stone for a small retaining wall project we've decided to tackle.
