I have never written a review online before, but I really wanted to comment about this place. AWESOME! The best gyro I have had in Virginia (resident since 2010.) This a small place with not a lot of seating indoors. They have picnic tables outside, but it is December and cold. The food is amazing though. Actual gyro meat cooked on a rotisserie gyro skewer, not some meat out of a box. It was sloppy and I couldn't talk to anyone for hours on account of the tzatziki, and I mean both of those as compliments. Support this small business and make it a Newport News staple.

A Denbigh keeper! I haven't had a Gyro this tasty in a long time. Not only was the meat seasoned perfectly but the sauce as well as the the veggies were fresh and delicious. The price is perfect for the size- if you eat the entire thing at one sitting you've done something. I will recommend Mr. Gyro to my friends and co-workers and will definatley revisit.

I don't normally post hype about a yummy new spot but here goes, as it's THAT GooD! Mr Gyro and Burger on the corner of Denbigh and Warwick is way worth the wait! They are definitely a new biz, slow service, slightly unprofessional, but the food is amazing. By far the best zatziki sauce I have ever had, and they add a non spicy red pepper powder that is a flavor explosion. I wish they put a to go menu in the bag for future consideration. Give them a chance and make several visits!
