General Info
Our focus is on pain relief and management, especially back, neck and shoulder pain through deep tissue massage. Incorporating techniques learned from around the world including Thailand, the goal is to eliminate or minimize pain for a healthier and happier way of life. Sankofa Massage & Bodywork provides bodywork for every generation. With the entire person in mind, each session is tailored to meet the client's therapeutic needs and to achieve their personal goals. Nurturing your body through massage and other forms of bodywork is not only relaxing but can be emotionally healing; allowing one to free one's mind from anxiety, tension and past trauma. Acknowledging and breaking through these barriers can be emotionally and spiritually uplifting enabling us to live more productive lives. Tye, a Registered Nurse and Licensed Massage Therapist understands first-hand how debilitating pain can be to a person. During her first year as a nurse, she sustained a back injury that could have ended her nursing career before it even began. Receiving regular massages became one of the most significant treatments that helped her get back on her feet. Not only did the massages assist with stress reduction, but they also helped alleviate muscle stiffness and back pain. It greatly reduced the healing time and provided her with a sense of harmony within. Tye's personal experience with massage therapy made such an impact on her life that the gift of massage was something she wanted to share with others. No one should have to live with pain!
