Located in Newburyport, Mass., Rupert A. Nock Middle School serves more than 700 students in grades five through eight and is operated by Newburyport Public Schools. It offers a wide variety of academic courses, including language arts, mathematics, science, history, world languages, technology education, theater arts, music and physical education. The school s library provides a large online database, reference materials, and print and nonprint resources. It offers a life skills program that covers various topics, including advertising, drugs, alcohol and tobacco abuse, body image, nutrition, fitness, parenting, conflict resolution, anger management, stress and basic first aid. Additionally, the middle school provides a wide variety of facilities and services, such as laboratories, transportation, a cafeteria, playing fields and lockers.
