PSEG Power was created in June of 1999 as a result of electric industry restructuring in New Jersey and quickly established itself as a major player in the wholesale energy and energy trading business in the eastern half of the United States. The company makes and markets electricity and engages in commodity energy trading. The company has three primary subsidiaries that include PSEG Fossil, PSEG Nuclear and PSEG Energy Resources & Trade.
