Provided by YP.comthe food and service were excellent but our table was by the kitchen and that was a bit busy. I will revisit as much as possible.

Provided by YP.comYou racist pigs won't eat in Newark. You have the nerve to make racist slurs for African descent people and you can't even keep cigarette tips out of folk's food? Really? The floor, cutting boards, stove, ovens, and fridges must be filled with rodents. I saw the pictures on Yelp. And yes! the Department of health of Essex County, Trenton and the mayor's office were Cc'd this AM the photos. You savages will not make a living in this town. You'll be on social media, out of business on the foodstamp line with the darkies. You understand? We enrich this town even in our troubles so when you decide not to serve those who make Newark the relevance that it is, because Portuguese culture damn sure isn't the highlight of our city, you better make sure you treat every brown and black face with damn respect. Or we'll haul over here in droves and shut this entire establishment down. We ran police commissioners, superintendents, public officials out and we'll send your rotten teeth, ratchet filthy behinds out too.
Immediately after walking into the Ferry St BBQ, the room filled with smoke. Their fume hood above the grill wasn't big enough to catch it all, and many of the patrons were engulfed, my asthmatic father among them. Before they even had time to bring a bread basket to the table, we had to leave. I accidentally left my glasses on the table and 10 minutes later came back to get them. The owner had hidden them and refused to return them because he was angry that we left! I explained to him why we had to leave, and he still denied ever seeing them. It wasn't until an angry encounter, a threat to call the cops, a call from my Portuguese uncle, and the entire dining area leaving that he admitted to have taken them and they were begrudgingly returned to me.Do NOT do business with these people. They absolutely don't deserve it. That is no way to run a business.

Provided by YP.comOkay, so i went to this place today and I LOVED IT. I am a huge critic and i had nothing bad to say about it. The food is the best, fresh and is cooked right in front of you so u know its clean. And the person who wrote that it was dirty, the bathrooms are not even close to the kitchen. For a fact, its not the owners fault that people are rude and decide to dirty the bathroom all the time. I wen tin there and it was very clean. Also it is ver affordable! I wasted less than half the money that i thought i would spend! The people there are very kind and are quikly there at your every need. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE this restaurant. I cant get enough of it !!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI totally disagree with the comment left behind . That is really mean who ever wrote that. sinseriously i assume that whoever wrote it is just jelous ...Its not the best restaurant in the world, but it is really good and i have eaten there for about 5 years and never got tired of it. The food is great, really good and affortable price , and the guy behind the counter is very nice ,kind, and a good person. Of course , no bathrooms in restaurants are the cleanest thing ever but the bathroom there is not even close to any food or nothing its totallly far away and they seem to try their best to keep it clean. The food is nice and fresh , and is all cooked right in front of the customers. So dont believe others, try it yourself. Thank You.
