      The Department of Economic and Housing Development is managed by City of Newark in New Jersey. The department works to create economic opportunities for residents. It manages a planning and community development division that is responsible for the regulation and analysis of land use, economic and social conditions, as well as transportation and infrastructure systems. The Department of Economic and Housing Development also operates a logistics and industrial opportunities division that provides business and workforce development options. The department s housing assistance division administers new construction, rehabilitation and renovation projects. In addition, it provides guidance counseling services for property owners and developers.
