Founded in 1989 by former Intel and IBM executive Dr. T. Symon Chang, Tyan Computer Corporation designs, manufactures and markets a variety of Internet platforms, including server platforms, system boards and related accessories. Its other products include Internet appliances and high-performance desktop stations designed for use in enterprise computer rooms and data center environments. Its products are sold to original equipment manufacturers, systems integrators and value-added resellers. Products are also available via national distributors, nationwide retailers and independent computer stores. Tyan Computer Corporation has headquarters in Fremont, Calif., near Silicon Valley. The company has been ranked by Deloitte & Touch as one of the United States Fast 500.
