Private Tutoring for Children Grades PK-9

General Info

I provide private tutoring of Mandarin Chinese for children in grades PK-9 in the Upper West Side area of Manhattan, New York. I custom design each syllabus addressing the student's learning style and strengths. This can include games, songs and other fun activities as desired. My name is Xin Zhang（张昕）and I have lived in New York City for over 15 years. I arrived from Fujian, China when I was 15 years old in time to begin at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in Bayside, Queens. I then graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan where I studied Photography. I now live in the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Broadway south of Columbia University. I have over five years of experience teaching children at Preschool of America, China Institute and through private tutoring. I am fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English and I consider Chinese to be my first language. My experiences in China and America have given me a fresh perspective on these two cultures. You will find that my engaging style and natural affection for children will help your child get the most out of his or her Chinese learning experience!
