Fantastic hotel, location and staff! I really enjoy staying at the Sofitel when I am in the city. The rooms are luxurious with views of the city. I haven't had dinner at their restaurant, Gaby; however, I have had drinks in the bar and it is great. The concierge is helpful. They can give suggestions of places to eat, shopping, and other sightseeing specials. One evening the concierge called ahead to get us a table at a nearby Italian restaurant. It was fabulous and I know we would have had to wait if it weren't for our helpful friend. The location is close to the Theatre District. No need to take a cab to Times Square or when taking in a show on Broadway. Simply fabulous! I hope they continue to do well and provide wonderful customer service. Kudos!
Don't bother looking for anything better because you will get it all right here! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was perfectly clean! (which was my biggest concern) I will be back!!
What a great hotel. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Great location, very large rooms. I will definitely try to stay here on my next visit.
Incredible food, impeccable service and a bed to die for. I've stayed at many other hotels in New York city. Their Executive Suites are larger than most Manhattan apartments and very well-appointed. The food in Gaby's restaurant is tres manifique. The croissants are the best I have had outside of Paris. The hotel is surprisingly quiet, given its close proximity to Times Square. And believe me I'm a light sleeper. You don't have to hail a cab to get to a Broadway show, just walk 2 blocks up and you're there. What a treat. Just come back to your hotel after the show and sleep in "the cloud".
I have looked into buying one of their beds, it is so comfortable. Service is outstanding and the food at Gaby's downstairs is the best. We ate most of our meals here.
There are 2 sides to this hotel - the business side with Hi-speed Interenet included and the vacation traveler side. Amenities are different so it helps to know the details.
