      As a Neuropsychiatrist and expert in Translational Clinical Neuroscience, he has special interests in depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD. He also has expertise in treating traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), cognitive impairments, dementia, and neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Sandy Lowe’s innovative approaches provide new insights into the core pathology of many neuropsychiatric disorders and the etiologies of these Thalamocortical Dysrhythmias. Dr. Sandlin Lowe incorporates functional brain neuroimaging utilizing Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) and SPECT brain imaging in the design of new treatment protocols. His prior research contributions have included work with both qEEG and Magnetoencephalography (MEG). Dr. Lowe is a recipient of a Congressional Award for his research work at Bellevue Hospital Center and NYU. He was previously on the Faculty of the NYU School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Department of Physiology & Neuroscience. Dr. Lowe has been a Consulting Neuropsychiatrist to the NYU School of Medicine Brain Research Laboratories and the NYU Langone Center for Neuromagnetism. Dr. Lowe completed his medical degree at Tulane University.
