I've been thinking about LASEK for a while now so I finally took the free consultation with PAL. I must say the staff at PAL are very polite, knowledgable, helpful and professional. My eye doctor told me that I was not a candidate for laser so you should always check with the specialist first to see if you are qualified. I must also add that Mark has excellent customer care skills. So far I'm very please with everything and I would recommend PAL to anyone who is interested in laser eye surgery.

I went in to Park Ave Lasek a month or so ago as I was considering Lasik surgery. I had read some of the reviews on here, and thus was going in with... an open mind. So far, I have been for 3 appointments, as they fine tune and make sure everything is perfect. I had to schedule a bit further down the road than i would like, and was told that we will need to meet another time to make sure that all readings are accurate and up-to-date. I have been seen mostly by Dr. Shaw, since he is the doctor there on Saturdays. He's been awesome in my book! Friendly, nice, and not a salesman/pusher type (which would be an instant "find another place" for me). Additionally, the vibe of the place is so nice on Saturdays - I much prefer it to the time I went on a Wednesday after work. Additionally, I've been able to contact people in the office whenever (within reason). I didn't expect an email back on a Sunday, but lo and behold, I got one within an hour.

The woman Jade at the front desk is rude and unpleasant. Dr. Chynn is a money hungry man who is all about selling. This place radiates poor ethics and will take advantage of anyone they can. I saw on my chart when I went in for a consultation that it says on the superbill something like, "charge more aggressively people we know (because they won't complain, and to charge less aggressively for people who we don't know or who are complainy."
