Dr. Justin Fried is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Cardiologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with advanced heart failure. He is the Associate Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Units and Medical Director of the Cardiogenic Shock Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology. Dr. Fried received his medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He completed additional training in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Fried’s has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews, abstracts, and book chapters. His work has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals including Circulation, Journal of American College of Cardiology Heart Failure, Circulation - Heart Failure, and The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
