Founded in1990, the Jazz Foundation of America is one of the leading organizations in the United States dedicated to saving the homes and lives of elder jazz and blues musicians in crisis. Based in New York, N.Y., the company provides financial, medical and legal assistance to great jazz and blues musicians. In addition, it offers performance opportunities, medical care for uninsured musicians and organizes a range of events. The Jazz Foundation of America also operates Jazz Musicians Emergency Fund, Emergency Housing Fund and Musicians Legacy Program.
