• Traffic Violations
  A driver who lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree seriously injuring his passenger. He claimed a truck coming in the opposite direction on the curve with limited sight distance caused him to swerve and lose control. By building a detailed model of the roadway and hiring an accident reconstruction expert we were able to prove at trial that the phantom truck never existed and that he was simply speeding and driving recklessly.

  Mr. Jaroslawicz has handled both trials and appeals and has argued cases before the United States Supreme Court, the New York State Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Ninth, and Tenth Circuit, as well as the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Jaroslawicz has represented countless clients involved in commercial litigation; contract disputes; real estate litigation; sexual discrimination and harassment, and sexual abuse by priests, medical malpractice; product liability cases such as defective medical products, pharmaceuticals, bicycle or motorcycle helmets, industrial machinery, tires, hospital equipment, and defective automobiles, among others.

  A successful premises liability claim may require proof that the establishment or building owner knew or should have known of a hazardous condition. When a business neglects to take the necessary steps to protect customers from harm, or a building owner does not take steps to keep the building safe, then an injured person may file a claim for compensation.

  Prior to attending law school Ms. Holman worked in the financial services industry and held several securities licenses, including Registered Representative (Series 7) and Registered Principal (Series 24). While at Cardozo she worked on the Securities Arbitration Clinic representing individual investors in actions against broker-dealers, as well as doing financial enforcement work at the NASD (now FINRA) and the Bureau of Securities of the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. Presently Ms. Holman’s practice includes a wide variety of cases, including premises liability, property damage and personal injury actions.

  Jaroslawicz & Jaros, was founded in 1980, by two brothers David Jaroslawicz and Abraham Jaros. David Jaroslawicz handles trials and appeals in state and federal courts and has argued before the New York Court of Appeals, various circuit Courts of the United States Courts of Appeals and has even argued before the United States Supreme Court. Attorney Abraham Jaros has tried hundreds of personal injury cases in the New York and federal courts to successful conclusions and obtained many multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements.
• Medical Malpractice
  Many years ago, this was brought home to me very vividly when my wife came home from food shopping. She had said hello to the man working in the cheese department and he seemed very sad and not like his usual happy self. When she asked what the matter was, he quietly told her that his wife had died and left him with two young daughters and that he had hired a lawyer to bring a medical malpractice case, but 2 1/2 years had already passed and he could not reach the lawyer to speak to him, whether on the phone or at the office, to find out the progress and status of his case. He kept leaving messages and no one ever called him back.
