General Info: CHILDREN'S MUSICAL THEATRE, founded in 1977, training of chorus, with dance and acting ; offering performances by children in auditoriums throughout public schools in Manhattan. It was founded at Third Street School and taken out into residence at District One's PS 19 on the Lower East Side from 1986-1993 where over 15 fully staged and musical theater works, some commissioned, others more traditional were presented. They were always sung, danced and acted BY New York City Public School Children. Staff members included choreographer: Joanne Edelmann ; stage director Denny Partridge ; Sasha Spielberg ; Shelagh Krueger ; Chris Van Graevenitz ; Gianluca Tramontana ; Laura Wolfe and many others.
