The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science offers a variety of academic and extracurricular programs for graduate and undergraduate students. The school offers courses in applied physics and applied mathematics; biomedical, chemical and civil engineering; computer science; earth, environmental, electrical, mechanical and industrial engineering; operations research; and materials science. It operates the centers for advanced technology and applied probability, the Columbia Center for Electron Transport in Molecular Nanostructures, the Earth Engineering Center, the Environmental Molecular Sciences Institute and the Computational Optimization Research Center. It additionally operates centers for computational biology and bioinformatics, integrated science engineering, the Columbia University Materials Research Science and Engineering center and the Environmental Molecular Sciences Institute. The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science is located in New York City.
