- General Info
- CHU Meditation is a private meditation practice in NYC offering one-on-one sessions and services for anyone and everyone. Based in New York, NY, but available for travel worldwide. Clear and focus your wandering mind, relieve stress, improve memory and brain function, break addiction, reduce anxiety, sleep better, feel content, enhance creativity and strengthen compassion. This is what can happen when you meditate and learn to better control your brain, thoughts and breath. New York City is one of the most stressful, anxious, irritating, loud, overstimulating, fast-paced places in the world. Too much stress makes us sick and age faster, not just in the brain but throughout the body. If you calm and control the brain, the most important organ in the body, your mental and physical health will have a great chance of improving. Meditation takes back control of your brain, which is constantly overwhelmed with racing thoughts. Alcohol, sugar, nicotine, television, smartphones, music, drugs, internet, shopping, work, junk food - these things do not calm and control your brain. They are just temporary, harmful distractions. Meditation calms and controls the brain. Unfortunately, meditation can bring on negative associations to some people. This is the fault of borderline cult organizations, quasi-religious groups, "new age" practitioners and their jargon, paid celebrity endorsements, false "gurus", impossible guarantees and poorly taught practices. However, when practiced in its purest, simplest forms, meditation is a powerful exercise that brings positive, beneficial changes by changing habits.
