I have had about 10 radiology exams at DRA over the past 5-10 years. I am a cancer survivor and have been in and out of the place at least 3-4 times a year. I find the technicians for the MRIs, Mamograms, Bone Density and Chest X-rays to be very courteous and highly skilled. I even had to get my films from 3 years ago and it was very organized, I called, they asked when I will come by and the films were ready. The only part that I see needs some retraining is in the receptionists in each department on each floor. With some rare exceptions, for the most part the have a surly attitude, make you wait on lines to return your filled out clipboard of forms, and make the waiting room experience difficult, since they are the main contact with the company, before you go in to see the technicians. I give this company 4 stars, as they are really very good in all aspects except for their front desk staff (although to be fair, there are a few exceptions of very kind, patient staffers).-JR, NYC

Although my experience is nothing compared to the preceding review, I would tell any woman to RUN from this place. After sitting in a waiting room with NO reading material for 45 minutes, I had the misfortune to have an ultrasound technician that seemed to hate me on sight. When I mentioned my wait time, her first course of action was to completely deny any responsibility and offered a hollow apology. Through out the exam I was made to feel that this technician had a really bad day and I was the one remaining obstacle to her getting out of work and starting her weekend. At the end of the exam she walked out of the room without giving me ANYTHING to clean off the jelly. This is the second time I have used DRA and the second time I had to wait. I had to wait two hours the first time. My friends have shared similar experiences with DRA. If you use this facility, take the day off from work. Although I am sure you can find better things to do with a day off. JUST RUN!

AVOID this place at all costs. I was scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound, which requires drinking 32 oz. of water an hour before the exam and not using the bathroom until the exam's done. I arrived early for my appointment, and they made me wait AN HOUR AND FORTY-FIVE MINUTES (i.e., TWO hours and forty-five minutes after drinking the water) for my exam. I kept asking the receptionist what was going on, and she gave me a different reason for the wait each time (misplaced file, equipment problems, etc). She then told me that if I did use the bathroom before the exam, they'd probably have to repeat it another day and I'd be charged for both appointments. So I toughed it out in insane discomfort and misery instead. Then they double-charged my insurance company anyway, and now I'm left to sort out the claims.

Possibly long wait time, but comfortable.
