The Associated Press is a nonprofit cooperative that has a staff of more than 4,000 employees in over 240 bureaus through the world. The organization is owned by nearly 1,500 daily newspaper members in the United States. It maintains a commercial digital photo archive and library that has a collection of more than 10 million images. The Associated Press also offers AP Exchange, which is an online tool that offers access to content and news for several editors. In addition, it operates AP Images Services and AP Images.
