General Info
Dr. Alice Urbankova is a graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She began her full-time academic career at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, in the Division of Operative Dentistry. Besides teaching students operative dentistry using traditional methods, she became engaged in teaching through simulation technology. She devised and implemented a virtual simulation teaching method in the pre-clinical curriculum to wide acclaim. Her research and expertise in simulation technology led to a consultancy with Image Navigation Ltd., and she trained and calibrated faculty at eight North American Dental Schools, and was a trainer and instructor at forty dental schools throughout North America and Europe in simulation teaching methods. She also became a consultant to IDEA Inc. and MOOG Inc., using both haptic technology for simulation learning and skill assessment. She was recruited to Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine where she revised and implemented a new operative dentistry curriculum, with virtual reality simulation at its core. She became Division Director of Operative Dentistry, and besides teaching, clinical instruction, developing lectures and operative curriculum syllabi, she conducted numerous research projects validating simulation technology in dental education. She also became involved in research projects in areas on disease prevention and relationships to systemic health such as diabetes. She has lectured internationally, and is frequently an invited lecturer at international conferences such as the Association for Dental Education in Europe. She now holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University College of Dentistry. Telemedicine visits are being offered to new and existing patients for various reasons such as tooth pain & gum disease. Dr. Urbankova's expertise can help navigate patients towards solutions without the requirement of an in-office visit.

Excellent, extraordinary DOCTOR.
They are minamally invasive and use state of the art technology (Laser) that not only has improved my recession but has kept me away from any surgeries, and have not needed anything fixed or replaced since work was originally done. Most Caring and gentle dentist I have ever been to and would'ant have anyone else care for my teeth. Truly goes above and beyond!

she saved my teeth a thousand times over. i would have had to have many root canals without her dentistry. i had damaged teeth but she saved them in the most comfortable way possible.

Dr. Urbankova helped me a lot. My front teeth had tetracycline stain and was told it was impossible to change colors without invasive veneers. Instead she did series of whitenings and my teeth are now bright and white without spending thousands of dollars on veneers. I never thought it was possible to correct the color without crown and veneers. I am 100% in trust of her and would recommend her to anyone who needs a good dentist.
Dr. Engebretson is the best periodontal oral surgeon. He performed three crown lenghtening on me to correct failing crowns and then Dr. Urbankova replaced them with new bonded crowns. My teeth feel like a different mouth. Laser treatments are rejuvenating and keep my mouth fresh and healthy. No more tender gums! I trust Dr E and also would love to recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good oral surgeon.My mouth is like 20 years younger.
There are lot of doctors who are in the medical profession of dentistry and for majority of them the sole purpose is money not because they genuinely care about your teeth. They pile one treatment after the other to extract as much money from you as possible. Dr. Urbankova is an angel disguised as a dentist! Not only are her medical/dental skills excellent, her desire to give the best treatment is unsurpassed. She is kind and gentle while performing the most progressive treatment known.

after coming here with multiple cavities, I now have none thanks to the preventative laser care and cleaning from Dr. Urbankova. after getting the laser care, i have felt a major difference in my teeth from decreased sensitivity to having no reoccuring cavities
I initially came in to address two teeth that had advanced cavities. However, after a full mouth consultation, it was determined that I would also need LANAP. I was hesitant at first, however after I completed the treatment the health of my entire gums and entire mouth DRAMATICALLY improved. It is night and day. My energy levels have also went up. I can't believe how much of a difference this has made to my teeth, my mental alacrity and my overall health. It was worth it, and I would recommend this treatment to anyone.
