Hi- My name is Marty Lehr, founder of Your Place or Mine Music. It's become a known scientific fact that acquiring and developing new skills or re-discovering old ones help our aging brains to not only maintain healthy brain cells (neurons), but actually encourage our brains to create new ones! It's something that brain scientists call neuroplasticity. A recently well done PBS feature called the "Brain Fitness Program" described this phenomena in detail. Music is fun for you and your brain!
