Ankur Modi, MD is a member of Summit Healths Endocrinology team. Dr. Modi is trained and experienced in treating hormonal and metabolic conditions. He has a special interest in the evaluation and management of thyroid nodules and cancer with training in performing fine needle aspirations, a specialized biopsy procedure, osteoporosis, for which he has obtained certification in clinical densitometry, as well as transgender medicine.Dr. Modi believes in a team approach, not only with his colleagues but with his patients, too. I can come up with thoughtful recommendations and comprehensive treatment plans, but ultimately, it is a patients trust, confidence, and motivation that will produce meaningful change, he says.Dr. Modi has participated in numerous research studies and has cowritten several published works. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Diabetes Association, the American Thyroid Association, and the Endocrine Society.Outside of the office, Dr. Modi enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, playing board games, and watching movies. He also enjoys playing tennis and cheering on his hometown Los Angeles sports teams.
