New Port Inn has come a long way in the last years, as an expert in assisted living for the past decade I can say with authority that while it doesn't have the chandeliers and expensive decor of it's counterparts in Pinellas County, it provides quality care in a clean, family like environment. Pasco County as a whole doesn't offer much in the way of assisted living options. The properties are all relatively close to the same quality and most offer many of the same amentities (like meals, housekeeping, transportation etc) so what you really have to base your decision on is the state survey results each property must provide to you upon request, along with the expertise of the management staff and of course the care being provided to the residents that call it home.



Based on the important factors listed and excluding pretty bells and whistles that may be nice to look at but shouldn't factor in to your decision.... I don't believe you will find another community in Pasco County that is superior.

Stay away from this place. It is awful. Had to give it one star rating to get this published. What a crock! stay far far away from this place. We went to check it out for a family member and were very badly treated by a very unattractive blond with tights, stilettos, a snug fitting shirt about 6 sizes too small and with a vocabulary not even used by a truck driver. She is one rude person. So, take away the star and read the comments about this place on other sites.....and maybe she will go back to tending bar at the neighborhood bar......she knows how to dress for that profession!

My mother in law was taken in under their Respite care when she was definitely "not going to one of those places". She could no longer live alone, where she was living she was socially isolated and she had a number of issues that made it unsafe for her to live independently any longer. Gina came and "took her to lunch", went back and packed up some clothes for her, got her cat, and even purchased her some things she needed that she did not have on hand. Now, it is a month later and mom is so happy! We have a hard time getting a hold of her, because she is so busy! The staff is wonderful; they really keep a close eye on everyone. The entertainment is fun, we went to visit her for happy hour one night and mom was snapping her fingers and dancing in her chair, they had a singer while they ate dinner. This place was a blessing to us, and Gina was so patient and helpful while we got mom settled in. Definitely a Class A act!
