      Founded in 1974, The Bicycle Rack is a full-service bicycle sales and service company. Based in New Paltz, N.Y., the company supplies new and used bicycles from a selection of manufacturing companies, including Fuji, SE, Raleigh, Kestrel and Breezer. In addition to providing unicycles, folding bikes and cruisers, it offers mountain, road and comfort bikes. Additionally, the firm provides helmets, gloves, lights, computers, pumps and other accessories. The Bicycle Rack also organizes several events, including Tour De Kingston/Ulster.

      We showed up in New Paltz for an early morning ride and one of our bikes had a broken spoke. The shop owner happened to be in the shop before it was open, so we knocked on the window. We told him our problem and he let us in. He told us to bring in all the bikes and he would watch them while we had a snack next door at the Bakery. When we got back, he was finished with the repair. He also inflated our tires and lubed the chains on all our bikes and didn't even charge us for that. Great service. We will be back.
