      The Office of Probation and Pretrial Services provides a range of technical assistance solutions in the preparation of pre-sentence reports. It offers pretrial investigative and diversion and bond supervision services. The department also provides counseling and aftercare solutions for individuals with drug, alcohol and other problems. The Office of Probation and Pretrial Services manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of accounting records. It maintains information on fine and restitution payments. The department operates employment placement and community service programs. In addition, it monitors and reports on lifestyle, personal problems and the needs of offenders. The Office of Probation and Pretrial Services is a department operated by the United States District Court of the District of Kansas.
