  Housed in the Brazier-Watkins House, the main museum has exhibited and narrated stories of the significant contributions of Africans, their enslavement and murder, their forced trafficking and servitude, consistent resistance to oppression.

  Wilson is also a cooperating attorney with LDF, handling primarily employment and voting rights cases, and a former board member of the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana. He has litigated numerous cases in the areas of housing discrimination, employment discrimination, school desegregation, voting rights, police misconduct, prison conditions, separation of church and state, freedom of speech, freedom of association, due process of law and equal protection.

  Perhaps one of the most alarming aspects of Trump’s presidency was his role in inciting violence. The most notable example is the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. In the weeks leading up to the attack, Trump repeatedly claimed that the election had been stolen and encouraged his supporters to “fight like hell” to overturn the results. This culminated in a violent insurrection aimed at disrupting the certification of the Electoral College results. The attack not only resulted in loss of life and property damage but also represented a direct assault on the democratic process.
