- Property DamagePerhaps one of the most alarming aspects of Trump’s presidency was his role in inciting violence. The most notable example is the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. In the weeks leading up to the attack, Trump repeatedly claimed that the election had been stolen and encouraged his supporters to “fight like hell” to overturn the results. This culminated in a violent insurrection aimed at disrupting the certification of the Electoral College results.
