- RobberyStephen Downer’s practice areas focus on trucking, transportation and insurance defense. Prior to joining Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, Stephen spent four years as an Assistant District Attorney in both Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. He led jury and judge trials handling second and third-class felony offenses from arraignment to closure, including second degree murder, armed robbery, and varying felony charges, many of which carry a life sentence without possibility of parole. He also managed a daily docket, negotiated plea agreements to effectively resolve cases, and prepared cases for trial, taking numerous trials to verdict.

While attending Loyola University College of Law, Katie worked as a Rule XX student Practitioner handling misdemeanor and felony cases at the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic. In addition, Katie worked as a research assistant to Professor Sandi Varnado, assisting with courses and matters focused on the Louisiana Civil Code.
