I AM REALLY UPSET WITH THIS PLACE! THEY ADDED AN EXTRA 20 DOLLAR TIP ONTOP OF THE TIP WE HAD ALREADY LEFT THEM. 20 DOLLARS IS NOTHING BUT IT'S THE PRINCIPLE THAT MATTERS!!! WE CALLED AND SPOKE TO THE MANAGER AND HE TOLD US IT WAS AN OVERSIGHT BY THE WAITER...HE ""ACCIDENTLY"" PUNCHED WRONG NUMBERS ON CREDIT CARD MACHINE.MANAGER SAID MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED...HAVE NOT SEEN IT YET! WHEN I WAS READING REVIEWS AFTER THE FACT I NOTICED SOMEONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM! HMMM! WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE
we ate ther a month ago and the waitress was busy flirting with the cook, she left our food in the widow for 20 min. we had to flag her down and point to the food, we were the only table int here at the time. then she charged a 50 dollar tip on our credit card, on top of the 15 we left her, when we got the c.c. statment back we called the manager and he said if we were rude about it he would fight it and it would take 6 months to get the fund back to our account!
We stumbled across this place on our recent visit to New Orleans. In a town where nearly every service industry worker seemed to not care if we ever came back. Louisiana Pizza Kitchen was a welcome exception. The staff was friendly and attentive, even on a busy night, and the food was excellent. Even a request to order slightly off the menu was met perfectly and with no fuss or extra expense.
Our group had the pocket bread appetizer, the Salad of the Day, a Pepperoni Bacon pizza and a pasta dish, and Bananas Foster ice cream cake for dessert - the dessert was the smartest thing we did all week!
If you are expecting Domino's, don't go here - you'll be disappointed. But if you want real wood-fired flatbread pizza in a comfortable, interesting environment, take the streetcar to the end of the Market, and sit yourself down in the Kitchen. You won't be disappointed!
...its cheese & crackers. that is, their ""pizza"" is more like a flat bread appetizer -- an extremely thin layer of crusty, cracker-like dough, w/ limited cheese on top and then the gourmet toppings. its good, but it doesnt fulfill my need for pizza.
the wine is pretty pricey, and smally portioned. for $10 a glass i would expect more volume.
the ""award-winning"" ceasar salad is pretty standard fare, nothing too special.
the space is cool. and the grilled shrimp app is *very* good.
The food was amazing - definitely try the Caesar salad in addition to a pizza! Lots of local art on the walls. Great service. Not many beers on tap (I found this to be typical in NO - why???).
I absolutely LOVE the Louisiana Pizza Kitchen. Living nearby on the MS coast, it's not uncommon for me to gather up my friends and head over to the French Quarter for some fine dining, and I don't mean in the uptight, snooty way. I've eaten there many, many times and have never had a bad experience there. The open, airy, and casual atmosphere makes it that much more enjoyable. Truly somewhere that anyone who visits New Orleans should drop in at for a good meal.
My husband and I found this place to have one of the better pizza in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the Four Season pizza. The Wild Mushroom Ravioli is great as well. The pizzas are a bit pricey for their size but overall, it's a great place off the French Quarter.
This is always a must stop every time I am in New Orleans. Anywhere you can have champagne and pizza it is never a bad thing.
Louisiana pizza kitchen is definitely an undiscovered gem in the French Quarter. The pizzas are delicious, the atmosphere is great. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
This is definitely a departure from pepperoni and mozzarella pizza. Sun dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, spinach, peppers..... wonderful ingredients. The Louisiana Pizza Kitchen makes pizza a wonderful meal instead of something quick to grab on the go.
too bad this place isn't a little closer.... in the very corner of the Quarter (Barracks and French Market) My wife and I ate here the last day of our trip and wish we had done so earlier. We shared a caesar salad (definately could have been bigger) and a pizza with a TON of toppings and an ice cold Abita Amber.
Yum!!
I've dined several times at the Uptown location (Carrollton). Each time I've find the service superior and the atmosphere very relaxing. The oven-baked pizzas are excellent and available with a wide variety of toppings. I love to experiment and this place gives me an excellent excuse to do so.
We found the restuarant after looking for Pizza places on the Internet. My husband and I both love pizza. We found this resturant to be one of the best Pizzas that we have ever had. The sauce made all the difference. It is a little pricey but it is well worth it. We also had the lemon cheesecake. It had a nice lite taste of lemon. It was also not heavy but lite. If you go be sure and try it. Our server was Ronnald. He was so wonderful. He met all our needs but didn't interrupt the flow of our conversation.
The FQ location is one of the best kept sectets. Unique from the others...best valued wine list IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Unbeatable. Dinner and bar specials unique to FQ-love those fresh fruit daiquiris! Let's not forget the charming staff...
A must. Literally footsteps from the French Market. Excellent service. Excellent food. I bring lots of guests, friends and clients here. You should too.
