KONE is the United States division of Finland s KONE Corporation, which is the fourth-largest elevator and escalator company in the world. Founded in 1910, KONE operates 800 service centers in more than 40 countries, which deliver approximately 25,000 new elevators and escalators annually and maintain a service base of approximately 520,000 elevators and escalators worldwide. The company s U.S. operation is headquartered in Moline, Ill., and consists of many more locations throughout the country, including one in New Orleans.
