General Info
We are a landmark destination for both the die-hard local and the adventurous, off-the-beaten path traveler seeking authentic, timeless New Orleans food and culture. Our local tradition is further cemented by having invented the New Orleans style of cooking steaks sizzling in butter. And weve kept it that way since 1934. Our food is classic and prepared as it has been for the past 85 years, fresh daily and made to order. Book a table now because here, youre family.

I treated a dear friend to dinner this evening and the Filet was superb from first bite to last. He reported that the T-bone steak was equally delicious. If you want a first rate steak with a delightful old New Orleans atmosphere and friendly unpretentious service you must try this place!
one of the best steakhouse restaurant here in New Orleans, i always like coming here to eat mostly on Lunch time is the prefect environment is always great at that time to come and just sit and have a great meal, i advice you to come and check this place out
best steaks in town - reasonably priced
Crescent City, as the locals refer to it for short, has been around and owned by the same family since 1934.
Their three little private booths with privacy curtains are a thing of the past. The dinning room still has tile floors and walls and looks like it is out of the 40s. Great ambiance. The staff is very personal and as another customer wrote they make you feel like you are the only customer. For a steak house the prices are affordable.
Oh and the food. The best steaks in town. Cooked just as you order and hot and sizzling when they place it on your table.
Hope I made you hungry. If so, go and enjoy a great steak where the locals go.
